Nightspots: There are many bars, discos, clubs, escorts, gay, massage and karaoke bars but the most popular foreign hangouts and the very popular night-life spots in the city are the famous or infamous Patpong Rd centre, located between Silom Road and Surawong Road, which is full of a-go-go bars, strip joints and beer bars Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza. In the Sukhumvit Road area there are another two popular night-life spots: Nana Entertainment Plaza (or N.E.P.) with a lot of new bars on the famous Nana Soi 4 even good accommodation like Nana Hotel, Dynasty, Nana City Inn and Soi Cowboy which is located between Sukhumvit Soi 21 and 23 but also going strong is Nana Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 which has been transformed within a year into an entertainment place and full of foreigners.

The bar has a selection of beer and a full range of cocktails and bar drinks but note to have a coke it will set you back 90 baht and a beer last time was 150 baht a small bottle so youre paying for the band that runs late so don't get their too early and in fact hit the joint around 11pm if you want to see anyone there as before that time the place is pretty dead and you will just waste your pingers where you can see more action outside and down the road at the Nana Complex. Its an Ok place later in the evening. The ladies frequent the bar and will show-you-up in a game of pool but wacth out boys many sharks on the table or just sit and have a beer. Its opposite the GRACE HOTEL and you get a few of the Arabian knights drinking here but they do have good pizza bar right outside and of course the Morroccan kababs there and its away from all the craziness of Nana and the bars that litter the street, even though you're just a couple minute stroll away. Hey its the best Band and floor show in Bangkok and as at November 2007 when we reveiwed it, but take heaps of doleros as it costs 230 baht for a small bottle and a cocktail around 260-350 baht and to get into the place its 500baht. The girls: will a Russian may set you back 5000- baht a night??? plus drinks of course but you get the pick of the bunch & many others and who the heck cares as this is Bangkok, Thailand the mega super Nightlife of the world. It has good security and best idea go alone as you probably wont leave by yourself if youre in the mood but its well setup and Ok for all ages. A range of music - mainly pop, dance, and covers are played. Live music and nightly shows are also staged. The club promotes itself as "the place in Bangkok which provides the biggest drink portioning" for one night in Bangkok .

Thermae downstairs bear bar in the Ruam Chit Hotel by Soi 15 opens around 6-8pm till late and is a freelance place where everyone stares at each other. There used to be a bar in the middle now everyone is the barman and you can sit either side. The Thermae has the oldest porters and porter ladies who come around and buy you drinks so give them a little tip and they will make sure you always have a drink. Last I heard it was around 100baht a drink but theres not much happening there except looking at each other so if youre from overseas son't bring your wofe here. Go there late around 11pm and many freelance girls hang out there. Always been a pickup joint but everyone is friendly if you decide to smile and no bring your attitudes from the west!!! Its close to everyting in Sukhumvit Rd and its OK to relax there. Theres a bar up the stairs as well which is also Ok and hotel if you want to be that close in the complex building..
